Will my facility qualify for PA AEPS Certification?
The following information is intended to help clarify PA AEPS qualification criteria and is not a guarantee for certification. Please visit the PA PUC guidance on the PA AEPS for further qualification details.
Prior to registration and application submission please ensure the following;
- The facility is located within the PJM regional transmission organization (RTO). Not sure? Please use this A Balancing Authority Lookup Tool to check.
- The facility is operational and has received permission to operate from the interconnected utility whenever applicable.
- You have decided whether or not to use an aggregator. If you would like to select an aggregator on your application, please contact them directly to receive their approval.
- If you have made arrangements with an aggregator, a completed Schedule A/ ROA will be required.
- You have the applicable information/documentation. Refer to the following guidance sheets by technology to gather required information and documentation..
- Once you have determined that your system meets qualification criteria and you have the necessary documentation, you may register an account and submit an application.
- Once an application has been submitted, please allow 30 days for the program administrator to review the provided information for qualification and accuracy.
- If more information is needed, we will send an email request. Please respond directly to the email with the needed information.
- Upon completion and full review, the facility will be approved/denied and you will receive an email notification. If the facility has been approved the notification will contain the state certification number as well as the information needed to register the facility with the tracking registry, PJM GATS.
- Please be aware that the certification start date for AECs is the date the fully completed application was submitted to PA AEPS.
- Please contact the PA AEPS Program Administrator if any of the facility information is incorrect.
